Czech manufacturer Skoda has launched the Superb Sportline in India.

The latest generation of the Skoda Superb is by far the most successful Superb in the Indian market. The design of the Superb is very classy and elegant which gives German manufacturers competition. The company has launched the Superb Sportline which gets many cosmetic enhancements over the standard Superb.

The Superb Sportline gets a blacked out grille along with smoked headlights on the front. The ORVMs, window frames, door inserts and spoiler get an all-black treatment. There is Sportline badging on both the front fenders. The car now sits on 17-inch two-tone Drakon alloy wheels. The Sportline gets chrome-tipped exhausts along with the rear diffuser.

The seats are wrapped with satin black Alcantara and the headrests are integrated into the seats. The steering wheel on the car is three spoked and gets paddle-shifters. There is an 8-inch touchscreen with an Amundsen infotainment system. The car supports connectivity like MirrorLink, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car comes with 3-zone climate control. The boot space of the car is of 625-litres.

In addition, the car gets eight airbags along with a host of security equipment and safety support functions which include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Mechanical Brake Assist (MBA), Multi Collision Brake, Hill Brake Assist (HBA), Hill Hold Control (HHC), Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Differential Lock, the all-new Anti-Theft alarm with interior monitoring, passenger seat beat with warning light, and Parktronic sensors at the front and rear.

The Superb Sportline is offered in two engine options – a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine or 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 180 PS and 250 Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed DSG while the diesel unit churns out 177 PS and 350 Nm of twisting force. The diesel unit is mated to a 6-speed DSG and there is no option of a manual gearbox. The petrol and diesel variant will cost you Rs. 28.99 lakhs and Rs. 31.49 lakhs respectively (ex-showroom, pan-India).
