Skoda Auto has launched the new Rapid Matte Edition in the Indian market. Talking about the price, the manual variant is retailed at Rs 11.99 lakhs and the automatic variant costs Rs 13.49 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom). The new edition is offered in an exclusive carbon steel matte color option. It was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2022. Furthermore, this is a limited-run model with only 400 units.
In terms of design, the new Rapid Matte Edition gets several gloss black treatments all around. The front fascia features a new glossy black radiator grille and spoiler. In addition, the car gets glossy black treatment on door handles, side-body moulding, tailgate spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear diffuser, and trunk lip garnish.
Skoda Rapid Matte Limited Edition: Interior
The cabin of the Skoda Rapid Matte Edition boasts of a new dual-tone Tellur Grey interior with black leatherette upholstery with Alcantara inserts. The feature list includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, automatic headlamps & wipers, a rear-view parking camera, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, a USB air-purifier among many others. The vehicle gets stainless-steel scuff plates with RAPID inscribed on it. Besides this, the new limited edition features high visibility performance bulbs.

In terms of safety features, the Rapid Matte Edition gets dual airbags, ABS, Parktronic rear parking sensors, rear windscreen defogger with timer, rough road package, anti-glare interior rear view mirror, height adjustable three-point seatbelts at the front, and engine immobilizer with floating code system.

Under the hood, the new Limited edition model gets a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine that churns out 108 bhp power and 172 Nm peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
