Skoda Auto has revealed the Octavia RS Challenge, which is a special edition version of the Octavia RS that comes with cosmetic tweaks and new features to make it look and drive sporty. This is a fully loaded edition of the Octavia RS that comes with extra equipment over the standard RS but the engine remains the same.
Some of the new features include VAQ limited-slip differential and dynamic chassis control (DCC). The differential provides optimum power to the wheels having traction while cornering while the DCC provides reduced lateral body movement while cornering hard. These extras will make the Octavia RS more fun to drive around the corners.
The Skoda Octavia RS Challenge comes with black elements on the exteriors to make it look sporty with 19-inch black alloy wheels, blackened sports exhaust, black ORVMs and black RS badging. The interior comes with Alcantara seats having heating function along with trip computer with a lap timer. The Challenge edition is available with both sedan and estate version of the Octavia RS in the international market. We don't expect Skoda to introduce this version in India.
