Skoda Octavia RS 245 Bookings Start from March 1, 2020

Skoda Auto India had launched the limited-edition Octavia RS 245 at Rs 35.99 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom, India) at the 2020 Auto Expo. The online bookings for the high-performance sedan will start from March 1. The Indian consumers can book Octavia RS 245 by paying an amount of Rs 1 Lakh while only 200 units of the model will be sold exclusively through its centralized platform www.buyskodaonline.co.in, the company said in a statement. Bookings will be accepted as a first come-First basis from 12 PM, Sunday, 1st March 2020 so  buyers need to be ready to punch in their details quickly. Deliveries will begin swiftly from April 2020.

A total of 5 colour options- Rallye Green, Race Blue, Corrida Red, Magic Black, and Candy White - have been confirmed by Skoda Auto. The Octavia RS 245 is powered by a more robust version of the 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine while generating 245bhp of power and 370Nm of torque. Coupled with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, the Octavia RS 245 does the 0-100kph sprint in just 6.6 seconds while the top speed is 250kmph. This is an outgoing Euro-spec model and it rides 15mm lower than the standard Octavia available in India.  Skoda Octavia RS 245 comes with wider radiator grille and the wide honeycomb air inlets. The revamped headlight clusters in a crystalline look feature full-LED technology and AFS adaptive front headlights as standard. The fog lights, tail, and number plate also feature LED technology and a crystalline appearance.

Octavia RS 245 interior is designed in black theme with the roof lining to the footwell including its silver-colored pedals with an aluminum finish. The front seats bear the RS logo so does the front door sills. The multi-functional sports steering wheel with perforated leather wrapping and integrated paddleshifters (for DSG transmissions) give a dynamic ambiance. The cabin boasts of Alcantara sports seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, Skoda’s Virtual Cockpit system, and nine airbags. It will be shipped to India in a completely built-up (CBU) form.
