Limited Edition Skoda Octavia RS245 priced at Rs 35.99 Lakhs deliveries begin

Coronavirus Pandemic has brought the Indian Automobile Industries to a total standstill. Dealerships are temporarily closed due to the nationwide restrictions leading to delays in the deliveries of vehicles. Skoda Auto India on Thursday, 27th February 2020 launched limited-edition Octavia RS245 priced at Rs 35.99 lakh (ex-showroom), India with online bookings opening from the 1st of March. A limited number of Skoda Octavia Rs 245 was sold exclusively through its centralized platform www.buyskodaonline.co.in with just 200 units made available for Indian customers. With the easing of the nationwide lockdown, Skoda Octavia RS245 deliveries have commenced now. A Goa resident became the first owner of the Octavia RS245 in India. 

 

 

Octavia RS245 is available in a total of 5 colour options- Rallye Green, Race Blue, Corrida Red, Magic Black, and Candy White. Skoda Octavia RS 245 is equipped with a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine churning out 245 bhp of maximum power and 370Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch (DGS) automatic transmission. Skoda Octavia RS 245 can accelerate from  0 - 100 kmph in 6.6 seconds while clocking a top speed of 250 kmph. Octavia RS245 rides 15mm lower than the discontinued Octavia sold previously in India.  Skoda Octavia RS 245 features a wide radiator grille and the wide honeycomb air inlets. Revamped headlight clusters in a crystalline look feature full-LED technology and AFS adaptive front headlights as standard.

If we talk about the Octavia RS245 exterior, there is a revamped front bumper, 18-inch alloy wheels, big air diffuser and RS badges at several places. Skoda Octavia RS 245 all-black interior's key highlights are Alcantara sports seats with red stitching, a flat-bottom steering wheel, Skoda’s Virtual Cockpit system, Panoramic electric sunroof and nine airbags. The cabin also boasts of a 12-way electrically adjustable driver and passenger seat, 8-inch central infotainment system among many others.
