Skoda Kushaq has been spotted doing test runs ahead of its official launch in Chennai

Skoda Auto India has been recently testing the production version of the Vision IN medium-premium Crossover Concept, Kushaq ahead of the official launch. Recently, the crossover was spotted under heavy camouflage doing test runs in Chennai. The spy shots of the same have been leaked online.

The spy images reveal the vehicle’s instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system. We could see that this test mule gets an instrument cluster with blue illumination and a sizeable MID. Talking about the touchscreen, it is a stand-alone unit on the center console like the one that was previewed on the concept. The overall design and layout look is somewhat like the one present in the Europe-spec Skoda Kamiq. However, Kushaq is the Indian version of Kamiq. Since the dashboard was not revealed much, we could not get any other information. However, we can expect the vehicle to get low set center AC vents, automatic climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, and a dual-tone interior.

Talking about the exterior now, the test mule of Kushaq was heavily camouflaged. We could clearly see that the prototype carries forward the concept’s design elements. Furthermore, we can expect the upcoming crossover to get two-part LED headlamps, the signature Skoda grille, and LED taillights. The India-spec Kushaq will get colour options that suit the taste of Indian customers.

Performance-wise, the upcoming Kushaq might feature a 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol unit that will generate 150 bhp power and 250 Nm peak torque. Transmission option here will include a 7-speed DSG unit. There is a chance that the vehicle might also get a 1.0-litre TSI petrol powerplant.
