Skoda Kushaq was globally unveiled last month in a production-ready format

Skoda Kushaq has been spotted undisguised on public roads ahead of its official launch. The images for the same have surfaced online. From the images, we could see that the Kushaq looks like its older sibling Karoq in a passing glance. Upfront, the mid-size SUV gets a wide Skoda grille flanked by a dual-headlight set-up. The rear end boasts of wraparound LED tail-lights. The roof spoiler and the faux diffuser gets a silver finish. There is a prominent Skoda badge behind the front wheel arch which further helps to distinguish it from the Karoq. Furthermore, it is seen riding on 16-inch wheels.

On the inside, the Kushaq comes equipped with a plethora of features. These include a free-standing, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a customizable 10-inch digital instrument cluster that displays the navigation and all other driving information, ventilated front seats, Type-C USB ports, wireless Smartlink, internal memory storage among many others. The safety kit comprises six airbags, a multi-collision braking system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and auto headlamps & wipers.

Performance-wise, the upcoming Kushaq will come with two turbo-petrol engine options - 1.0-litre TSI unit and a 1.5-litre TSI unit. The former will generate 110 bhp power, while the latter will develop a maximum power of 150 bhp. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The mid-size SUV made its global debut in the production format last month. We can expect it to be launched in India in June this year. It will be based on India-specific MQB-AO-IN platform and will be offered in three variants-Active, Ambition, and Style.
