Skoda Auto India has launched the much-awaited Karoq SUV in India via the digital medium today. Skoda Karoq is available in single-spec variant only which is a petrol. The SUV will compete against the likes of the Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier, and Volkswagen T-Roc in the Indian market. It is being imported to India as a CBU under the 2500-Car import rule.

The 2020 Skoda Karoq has been priced at Rs 24.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Skoda Karoq: Variants and Color Options
Skoda Auto India has launchded the Karoq in a single fully-loaded variant. It is available in six colour options namely Lava Blue, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Magnetic Brown, Magic Black and Quartz Grey.
Skoda Karoq: Exterior Design
Since Karoq is available in a single fully-loaded variant, Skoda has equipped this SUV with a plethora of features in terms of design. It features Skoda’s family SUV design language in line with the Kodiaq.The front fascia of Karoq flaunts full LED headlights with LED DRLs, fog lamps, and an adaptive frontlight system. The rear end gets C-shaped LED tail lights with crystalline elements. On the sides, it gets machine cut 17 inch alloy wheels. The five-seater SUV emits SKODA logo under the front doors. Other design highlights include silver roof rails, lead boarding spot lamps in external mirrors, and an automatic front wiper system with rain sensors.

Skoda Karoq: Interior Features
The interior of the Karoq boasts of stone beige leather upholestry. It gets 12-way electrically adjustable driver seat including lumbar support with three memory function. Other highlighted features include an 8.0 - inch touchscreen based Amundsen infotainment system with Navigation and SmartLink Connectivity. Then there is a leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear-shift selector, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, virtual cockpit, digital instrument cluster, and configurable ambient lighting. It gets silver decor on the dashboard.

In terms of safety kit, Skoda Karoq comes equipped with 9 airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, ESC, Hill-Start Assist, front and rear parking sensors and a rear parking camera.

Skoda Karoq: Engine Specifications and Mileage
Under the skin, Skoda Karoq is powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine from the Volkswagen Group’s TSI engine family. The engine produces 105 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. The powertrain is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. The SUV offers a mileage of 17 kmpl (ARAI Certified).
