Skoda Karoq all set to launch in May 2020 will be imported to India via CBU route.

Skoda Auto India provided the first glimpse to consumers of Karoq SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. The new model is all set to launch in the Indian market with expected deliveries commencing from May 6, 2020. The Czech automaker has just announced that bookings for Skoda Karoq are now open with a token amount of Rs 50,000. 

Built on the platform similar to Volkswagen T-Roc, Karoq will also be imported to India via the CBU route. It will be competing against the likes of Jeep Compass and Hyundai Tuscon. According to the company, Karoq will be sold as one fully-loaded variant. Skoda has equipped Karoq with a host of features. These include a panoramic sunroof, virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and dual-zone climate control. The cabin boasts of 12-way electrically-adjustable driver’s seat. 

In dimensions, Skoda Karoq measures 4382 mm in length, 1841 mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2638 mm.Some of the key design element include full-LED headlamps and taillamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors.

Under the hood, the Skoda Karoq comes equipped with a 1.5 TSI petrol engine that delivers 150 bhp of maximum power output and 250 Nm  torque. The powertrain comes mated to a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission. The SUV also comes equipped with a host of safety features that include nine airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, tyre pressure monitoring system and a parking camera.
