Next Generation Hyundai Creta design sketches revealed ahead of preview at Auto Expo 2020.

Its official, Hyundai Motor India has just shared the first design sketches of its upcoming Creta SUV. This would be the second generation of Hyundai Creta to hit the Indian roads as it will take on the might of KIA Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks and Renault Duster in the compact SUV segment. Second Generation Hyundai Creta is to be previewed on 6th of February at the Auto Expo 2020. However, its launch is expected to be in the month of March 2020. 

Going by these design sketches, the All-New Hyundai Creta will feature a masculine and futuristic appeal. In comparison to the current model, this one will be totally new like the Second-Generation Hyundai ix25 that is sold in Chinese market. With a different front fascia, the New Creta caters to a newly designed cascading grille, pronounced hood and projector headlamps with LED DRLs. Its side profile portrays flared wheel arches, creases and 17-inch alloy wheels. Towards the rear there is a revised bumper that could comprise of a dual exhaust system alongside LED taillamps. 

Interior details about Second Generation Hyundai Creta are still very scarce. This is something that we all would only get to know on the 6th of February. Though what we can tell you now is that the SUV could feature a large panoramic sunroof, 10.25 inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system, semi digital instrument cluster, Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity, wireless charging, automatic climate control, push-start/stop button among others. 

As for the powertrains, expect 2020 Hyundai Creta to come with 3 engine options that would be adopted from the Kia Seltos. These engines would include a 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder petrol producing 115bhp; a 1.4 litre, turbocharged petrol churning out 140bhp and a 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder diesel delivering 115 bhp. Transmission duties are expected to be carried out by a 6-speed manual transmission across all variants. Speaking about the automatic gearbox, the 1.5 litre petrol model could be equipped with CVT while the 1.5 litre diesel would get a torque converter. The 1.4 litre turbo petrol model is likely to get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
