Royal Enfield launches its Sleet.

The Himalayan Sleet limited edition, which comes with an ‘Explorer’ kit. The price of the bike is ₹2.12 lakh (on-road, Chennai), and only 500 units will be sold, and only online. Registrations will be between January 12-30, and the sale will go live on January 30. The first 500 users that pay the booking amount of ₹5,000 on January 30 can buy the bike.

The camouflage pattern is inspired by the rocky snow-covered terrain of the Himalayas. The Explorer kit includes aluminium panniers, pannier-mounting rails and aluminium handlebar with a cross brace. The Explorer kit is available post January 30.

The Himalayan now features a fuel-injection system instead of a carburettor, which the company has done to meet BS-IV norms. The updated Himalayan was launched last year at ₹1.65 lakh, which has now been revised to ₹1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). At ₹2.12 lakh (on-road, Chennai), the Sleet is priced at ₹28,000 higher than the standard Himalayan, which is priced at ₹1.84 lakh (on-road, Chennai).
