Royal Enfield is expanding their presence not only in the domestic market but also across the globe. Their aim to become a well known international brand is on its track. The Indian motorcycle maker owned by Eicher, has just introduced two of their latest flagship motorcycles in UK. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have been launched in UK.
The RE Interceptor 650 is priced from £5299 (Rs. 4.84 lakhs) while the Continental GT 650 is priced from £5499 (Rs. 5.02 lakhs) in UK. These bikes are being sold through Millenium Motorcycles, the dealer for Royal Enfield in UK. The bookings for the motorcycles had begun quite a while back in UK for a booking amount of £100.
Both the bikes launched in the UK come with the same specs. They share the same 647cc, air-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin engine that produces a maximum power output of 47 BHP with a peak torque output of 52 Nm. This engine has been mated to a 6-speed transmission along with slipper clutch as standard fitment.
