Royal Enfield Twins

Indian retro bike maker Royal Enfield took everyone by surprise when they launched the most affordable twin-cylinder bikes in the Indian market. The prices of Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 make them a very lucrative option for the people looking for a refined dual-cylinder bike. However, now there are reports that the Indian maker may be looking at hiking the prices of the two bikes by around Rs. 5,000. As of now, the brand already has got a lot of orders for the bikes and they are also taking measures to ramp up the production in order to fulfil these orders in a timely manner. The two 650cc bikes from the company takes on other rivals like the Harley Davidson 750s and the Triumph Street Twins and is also cheaper than these bikes by a huge margin.

Even smaller twin cylinder engine motorcycles like as Japanese Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha R3 find it hard to compete with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in the arena of price. The latest bikes from the maker are not only their most refined products yet, they are also managing to outsell the 500cc engine bikes from the same company. Never mind the other single cylinder options in the segment like the KTM 390s, TVS Apache RR 310, and Honda CB 300R in the price range, the 650 twins are having a good time in the segment.

Coming back to the report about the prices of the 650 twins being hiked in the Indian market, here is the full list of the price hike of the RE twins. This price hike will be effective from 1 September, 2019 and it is a good idea to book the bikes before the price hike comes in.
