Royal Enfield has introduced the ABS version of the Classic 350 Redditch

The latest motorcycle in the Royal Enfield portfolio to get an ABS setup is the Classic 350 Redditch. Following the footsteps of other motorcycles from the company, the Classic 350 Redditch gets a dual-channel ABS, this also translates to a price hike of Rs. 6000/-. The addition of ABS on the Redditch 350 leaves only the standard color options of the Classic 350 and the Bullet miss out on the much needed safety feature.

The Classic 350 Redditch remains mechanically unchanged though. It continues being powered by a 346cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as seen in the entire range of Classic 350 range of motorcycles. The engine develops 19.8 HP of peak power and 27 Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle also got the addition of rear disc brakes few days back. The Classic 350 Redditch is available in 3 color options, all inspired from the Royal Enfield motorcycles manufactured in the 1950s at the Redditch Factory in the UK.

The addition of ABS on the motorcycle helps it put a stronger case against its latest competitor the Jawa and the Jawa Forty-two. Both the Jawa and the Jawa Forty-two were launched recently with the addition of ABS and a rear disc brake. While the updated Classic 350 Redditch ABS retails at Rs. 1,52,900/-, the Jawa motorcycles are offered at a considerable premium. The Jawa and the Jawa Forty-two cost Rs. 1,73,000/- and Rs. 1,64,000/-, respectively. (All prices ex-showroom, India)
