The car will be shown internationally in October.

The car will be powered by a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 and it will go on sale in October. The newest from the company’s performance division SVR, mixes the car’s off-road ability with outrageous performance. The motor could make 550hp and 680Nm and can propel the Velar SVR to 100kph in around 4.2sec.

The Velar was spotted testing at the Nürburgring and will be the cheapest model from JLR's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) high-performance division. The car will use lightweight materials to keep kerb weight down to about 1,800kg. The company will tweak the chassis, and even bits like the air suspension, for enthusiastic driving.

The car will rival the likes of BMW’s X6 M and Jaguar’s upcoming F-Pace SVR. For now, we don’t know whether Land Rover will bring this version to India yet.
