JLR has axed its three-door Range Rover Evoque from its line-up. The three-door has been the slowest-selling variant and around 95 percent of sales were of the five-door version of the car. Also, JLR will soon introduce an all-new Evoque next year with Velar-derived styling and features.
Now, only the more expensive cabriolet model is available as an alternative to the five-door Evoque. A Land Rover spokesman said, “From the 2019 model year, Land Rover has rationalised its Range Rover Evoque bodystyle offering to concentrate on the five-door model and convertible, which account for the majority of sales.”
There is no confirmation yet whether the second-generation Evoque will be available as a three-door, but it's safe to assume that it won’t. In India, the three-door Evoque is on sale with just a petrol engine option for a brief period and the Evoque Convertible is also on sale. Facelifted versions of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will also be launched soon, and bookings have already begun.
