British automobile brand MG has launched the all-new Hector in the D-Segment in India. This new SUV is priced lower than Tata Harrier but above Hyundai Creta. Given the aggressive pricing and number of options available, anyone planning to buy a new SUV in the country will have a tough time to choose the right vehicle. The price of all the SUVs in this segment overlaps each other. While Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 9.6 lakhs and the top-end variant touches Rs 15.64 lakhs, MG Hector is priced between Rs 12.18 lakhs to Rs 16.88 lakhs. The Tata Harrier is priced between Rs 12.22 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh. Tata Harrier also has a few bragging rights being the only vehicle in the segment that does not offer a petrol engine option at the moment. To help the new buyers choose the best option for themselves, we have come up with the best quality of each car to help make a decision. Read on.

Want a city runner?

Hyundai Creta Petrol

Want an SUV to move seamlessly in traffic-packed cities. Well, Hyundai Creta is your best bet in that case. It is a perfectly-sized vehicle to tackle roads in urban India.  We believe a car like Creta can be a life-saver in jam-packed cities and allows worry-free drive through the traffic. Hyundai Creta comes with an automatic transmission and 1.6-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum of 122 Bhp power and 151 Nm torque.

Want More Features?

MG Hector

Does a feature-laden car make you go weak on your knees? Well, Hector is made for you. The latest entrant in the Indian SUV market comes with a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver, and co-driver seat, 5G-ready eSIM, Internet-connected features such as geo-fencing and live tracking, phone-controlled features, artificial assistance-enabled voice-control features, 10.4-inch infotainment screen, and 360-degree camera view.

Need a family SUV?

Mahindra XUV500

Mahindra XUV500 is the only 7-seater car here. Available in the 5+2 configuration, it offers ample space in the third-row. For buyers looking to accommodate large families, this is the best option in the D-segment range.

Want an intimidating car

Tata Harrier

While the notion prevalent is that MG Hector has a more aggressive stance, it is the home-made Harrier that is the widest car in the segment. The width of Tata Harrier makes it an instant head-turner. The SUV comes with a catchy design as well. Though Hector is the longest car in the segment but the 17-inch tyres on the car look a bit smaller on the huge body, which makes it less than intimidating on roads.
