The #2 Porsche crew took the lead only in the last hour in an incident-filled race at the Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France.

Porsche drivers Timo Bernhard, Earl Bamber and Brendon Hartley took the title after all six LMP1 cars encountered issues during the race. The #2 Porsche crew, in an incident-filled race, claimed the lead only in the final hour, when Bernhard passed LMP2 racer Ho-Pin Tung in the #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing ORECA.

He finished a lap clear of Tung to collect his and Bamber's second Le Mans win, while Hartley collected his first.
