Porsche has finally launched its new Cayenne Coupe in India that has been priced at Rs. 1.31 crore( ex-showroom) for V6 variant and Rs. 1.97 crore( ex-showroom) for the top-notch V8 variant. The launch was highly anticipated in the Indian car market.

This makes the Coupe costlier by Rs 12 lacs while the Turbo variant is pricier by Rs 5 Lacs. The  Cayenne features a sharp tapering roofline that falls onto the tail. The car will be sold as a completely built unit (CBU) in India, like all other Porche cars. The Porche styling is marked with signature 4 dot LED DRL and tail lamps across the boot lid that bears Porsche lettering.

The standard equipment list includes features like auto LED headlamps, four-zone climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, 18-way adjustable front seats, a rear camera and front and rear parking sensors. Meanwhile, the model's standard safety kit includes eight airbags, Isofix child-seat mounts, ABS with EBD, and brake assist, traction control, electronic stability control, hill-start and hill-descent assist.

The base Coupe get its power from a 3.0-liter turbocharged petrol V6 engine that belts out 340hp of power and 450Nm of torque while the Turbo trim has a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine that pumps out 550bhp of power and 770Nm of torque. Both the variants has an all-wheel-drive system that is made possible via an 8-speed, torque-converter automatic gearbox.

There are speculations that the top-spec Cayenne Turbo S e-Hybrid Coupe might be introduced at a later stage.

The Cayenne Coupe gives competition to other sporty luxury SUVs like the Range Rover Sport, the Lamborghini Urus and the upcoming Audi Q8.
