Volkswagen India has introduced a sim-based connected vehicle assistant ‘My Volkswagen Connect’. The recently launched Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and Vento Highline Plus will get this connectivity app as a standard feature free of cost. This app basically transforms a regular driving experience into a connected one.
My Volkswagen Connect App is your personal car assistant that records, analyses, and provides you with all the information you need to know about your car. It further sports a simple and easy to use interface. It can easily be accessed by plugging the dongle into the on-board diagnostics (OBD) port of the vehicle. You have to download the app on your smartphone. After which you need to pair it with the Android/IOS device. The pairing is done once you share the OTP that you receive on your registered mobile number.

The Volkswagen Connect App once downloaded on the smartphone will basically analyze the individual’s driving style that includes speed, braking behaviour, coolant temperature, acceleration, and RPM. Furthermore, it also enables customers to locate the point of interest and reach out to the customer care or Roadside Assistance in case of any emergency. In addition, the app can also be used to scan, upload, and store critical vehicular documents or related official documents for a paperless and hassle-free experience. The app also lets you set renewal reminders for vehicle insurance and receive ‘over the air’ (OTA) software updates. The My Volkswagen Connect app is now available with 3-years of free subscription along with 3-years of warranty.
