Ola Electric is gearing up to launch its first electric bike in India on August 15, 2024. Ahead of the official launch, the famous e-scooter manufacturer has released a video on its social media handle, confirming the launch date. The EV maker will roll out a range of new products, including the much-awaited e-bike, at an event scheduled to be held on Independence Day 2024. The teaser video doesn’t give away many details about the new Ola e-motorcycle. However, it does reveal the motorcycle’s front profile, and surprisingly, it looks different from the four concept motorcycles that Ola revealed last year.
The teaser video released by Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal provides a glimpse into the motorcycle’s design language. The upcoming Ola Roadster will come equipped with unique rearview mirrors and twin-pod LED lights, followed by a horizontally placed LED strip. It features a larger headlamp cowl, angular tank shrouds, and a new handlebar that is placed quite upright.

The upcoming Ola bike is specifically designed for city commutes. It houses slightly mid-set footpegs and a wide handlebar. The e-bike comes equipped with a telescopic suspension up front and a mono-shock at the rear. Ola is aiming to establish itself as a premium electric bike brand in India. The automaker is expected to launch a fully loaded bike first and the lower-priced products later. The brand previously announced that the new bike would be launched in India next year. However, the new post shared by the company’s CEO confirmed the official date set for the bike’s arrival.
The upcoming entry-level Ola bike will be positioned between 100 and 125-cc models. Ola showcased four variants of its new bike last year, including Adventure, Diamondhead, Roadster, and Cruiser. In other news, Ola Electric will utilize in-house-manufactured EV batteries for its forthcoming electric two-wheelers. The brand said that the Ola electric bike will feature the largest batteries in the segment. As of now, the EV maker sells a range of robust electric scooters in the country. These include the Ola S1 X, S1 Pro, and S1 Air in the country.
