Planning a launch event for the Ola Scooter on 15th August. Will share full specs and details on product and availability dates. Looking forward to it! 😀
There is no doubt that Ola will equip the electric scooter with several segment-first features like app-based keyless access and the biggest-in-class boot space. Cosmetically, the new electric scooter will feature a dual-projector headlamp with LED DRL, a tail light, a single-piece seat, a hook for carrying luggage, a black coloured floor mat, split-type rear grab handles, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an external charging port.
The upcoming electric scooter is expected to offer a range of 140-150 km on a single charge. The scooter can achieve a top speed of around 100 kmph. Moving on, the upcoming electric scooter will be manufactured at the brand’s future factory at Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu that has been established with an investment of nearly Rs 2400 Crores. It is being said that this factory will generate around 10,000 jobs.
The company has already confirmed that the electric scooter will be offered in a total of 10 vibrant shades. However, the name of the colors has not been revealed yet. But it is expected that the customers will get to make a choice between gloss and matte shades from the options in red, blue, black, gold, silver, yellow, white, and pink.
Once the scooter is launched in the country, it will rival the likes of Bajaj Chetak electric, TVS iQube, Ather 450X, products from Hero Electric & Okinawa.
