Hyundai Alcazar will be available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations

Hyundai India has officially started bookings for the upcoming Alcazar SUV at a token amount of Rs 25,000 in the country. It will be available in both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations. Hyundai Alcazar is based on the Creta SUV with an extra third row of seats while it will rival the likes of Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV500 in the Indian market.




The bookings can be made on authorized Hyundai dealerships as well as online at its 'Click to Buy' platform. The SUV will be launched in the next couple of weeks in India. Hyundai Alcazar will have a wheelbase of 2,760 mm which is best in the segment. The Alcazar adorns Hyundai's 'Sensuous Sportiness' global design language. The SUV features an extensive application of 75.6 percent Advanced and High-Strength Steel (AHSS & HSS).


The interior cabin is finished in a dual tone Cognac Brown upholstery with a Wing-Surrounded architecture on the dashboard. As for features, it will boast of Bose Premium Sound System with 8 Speakers, Auto Healthy Air Purifier with AQI Display, Front Row Seatback Table with Retractable cup-holder and IT Device Holder, Front Row Sliding Sunvisor, Side Foot Step, Rear Window Sunshade and a 10.25-inch multi-display digital instrument cluster.


Some of the notable first-in-segment features that Hyundai Alcazar will debut are Voice Enabled Smart Panoramic Sunroof, 2nd Row One Touch Tip and Tumble Seats (Captain & 60:40 Split Seats), Drive Mode Select (Comfort, Eco & Sport), Traction Control Modes (Snow, Sand & Mud), Puddle Lamps with Hyundai Logo Projection, 64 Colors Ambient Lighting, 8-Way Adjustable Driver Seat and Hyundai Blue Link Connected-Car Technology.


Mechanically, Hyundai Alcazar will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants will be powered by a 2.0L MPi engine which will generate top power of 157 bhp at 6,500 rpm and peak torque of 191 Nm at 4,500 rpm. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while doing the 0-100kmph sprint in merely 9.5 seconds. A 6-speed automatic transmission will also be available as an option.


As for the diesel variants, they will have the tried-and-trusted 1.5L CRDi engine at the helm of affairs with maximum power of 113 bhp at 4,000 rpm and highest torque of 250 Nm between 1,500-2,700 rpm. Identical to its petrol counterpart, it will also be available with both the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox units. Hyundai has claimed best-in-segment mileage for both manual and automatic variants.
