Nissan has discontinued the Terrano in India as there was poor demand and sales in the country

The Nissan Terrano made its India debut five years ago and the SUV did fairly well in the market intially. Nissan regularly kept on updating the features of Terrano and in 2017 the facelift avatar Terrano was launched. Now a year & half later, Nissan has decided to discontinue the Terrano due to low sales.

The 2017 update of Terrano received new L-shaped LED DRLs, indicators mounted ORVMs and a Sandstone Brown exterior paint job but could not attract more buyers. The Terrano was available from Rs. 10 lakhs to Rs. 14 lakhs. The competition offered more features at that price point and hence the sales dropped. So, to prevent the loss, Nissan had to halt the production of the Terrano.

The new Nissan Kicks is going to launch in India soon. The Kicks is based on the similar B0 platform and is a replacement of the Terrano. The engine of the Kicks is going to be the same as the Terrano.
