Nissan Magnite scores an impressive 4-star safety rating in the ASEAN NCAP crash tests

Nissan India launched the Magnite SUV in December last year in the country. Recently the subcompact SUV had undergone the latest rounds of crash testing by ASEAN NCAP. It was awarded a four-star crash test rating. The ASEAN NCAP is yet to reveal more detail of the safety tests along with the score breakdown for both adult and child occupant protection. This 4-star rating is likely to boost the demand for the Nissan Magnite in the Indian market as safety is the top priority for all the car buyers. The ASEAN NCAP crash test is quite similar to the Global NCAP. Both the safety regulators conducted the crash test on the base variants of the Magnite.

As per the press statement released by ASEAN NCAP, “The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) had recently performed an assessment on the model Nissan Magnite, the second assessed model under the Nissan brand in the year 2020.
