Expected prices of Nissan Magnite have been leaked online ahead of its official launch

The Nissan Magnite has been one of the most anticipated launches of this season in the subcompact SUV segment after the launch of Kia Sonet. With this introduction, Nissan Motor India is looking to revive its brand name and market share in the country given the stiff competition from its competitor. Thus the Nissan Magnite was globally revealed last month with its price announcement expected to come before Diwali. However, according to certain media reports and a leaked image of the pricing shared by Nissan to its dealers, the Magnite should be priced in the range of Rs 5.50 lakh - 8.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

With the majority of information already revealed by the automaker, the expected pricing if it were right could not only give direct competitors like  Maruti Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon a run for their money but it could also eat into other segments like the premium hatchback and crossovers. As per the brand, Nissan Magnite will be offered in 8 trims to customers. These would comprise of the XE, XL, XV, XV with Tech Pack, XV Premium, XV Premium with Tech Pack, XV Premium (O) and XV Premium (O) with Tech Pack. The Tech Pack mentioned here is available as an additional accessory which would fall under warranty as well. 



As for the powertrain options, the Nissan Magnite will provide two petrol engines. First is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated motor that delivers a maximum power output 71 bhp with 96 Nm of peak torque. While the other is a more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit that will churn out 99 bhp power and 160 Nm torque. According to Nissan both power plants will be equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. There will also be a CVT stick on offer only with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol model whose peak torque is limited to 152 Nm.
