It's raining MPVs from the Japanese carmakers. Recently Toyota revealed the new gen Hiace and now Nissan has come up with the Livina MPV in Indonesia. The Nissan Livina is based on the new gen Mitsubishi Xpander MPV. Both the Japanese carmakers are sharing technology for their new MPVs that will compete with the Honda BR-V and Suzuki Ertiga in the international market.
In terms of styling, the new Nissan Livina doesn't look like a conventional MPV. Instead, it has a modern design language with aggressive styling up front. It comes with sleek LED DRLs, signature Nissan V-Motion grille that looks huge in size and big headlight cluster positioned around the bumper along with fog lamps on the lip.
The side profile of the Livina reveals shiny diamond cut alloy wheels, sharp shoulder line and a floating roof effect. The interior gets a simple dashboard design having a touchscren infotainment system. It comes with three rows and is a 7-seater. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104 BHP and 141 Nm. 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions are offered.
