Nissan India has rolled out the 50,000th unit of the Magnite SUV from its Oragadam plant near Chennai. The made-in-India Magnite SUV is not only sold in the Indian market but also in over 15 global markets. Besides that, the waiting period for the SUV has been steadily rising. Currently, it stands at around four months for some of the variants on the basis of availability.

Nissan launched Magnite in December 2020 in the country. The SUV has received an overwhelming response since then. It is offered in four variants -XE, XL, XV High, and XV Premium. Performance-wise, the Magnite SUV comes equipped with two petrol engines. The 1.0-litre NA unit churns out a top power of 72 bhp. The 1.0-litre turbo unit generates 99 bhp power. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.
The feature highlights include Furthermore, Nissan Magnite scored an impressive 4-star rating in the safety tests conducted by Global NCAP in February 2022. The SUV rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Renault Kiger, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300.
