2020 Hyundai Creta vs Jeep Compass: Engine Specifications


The 2020 New-Gen Hyundai Creta is offered with three BS6 compliant engine options, borrowed from the Kia Seltos. The petrol variants are powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5 litre MPi engine which delivers 115 bhp power and 144 Nm torque. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a CVT gearbox is offered as optional. The diesel variants source power from a 1.5 litre turbocharged U2 CRDi engine which belts out 115 bhp power and 250 Nm peak torque. It can be availed with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is also the high-performance 1.4 litre Kappa T-GDi engine that churns out 140 bhp of power output  with 242 Nm torque and comes mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. 


While the Jeep Compass is powered by a BS6 compliant 2.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine that churns out 173 bhp power and 350 Nm torque mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The All-New Creta SUV adorns Hyundai's next-generation 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language.
