Triumph Tiger 850 Sport bookings are now open at Rs 50,000 across company authorized dealerships

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched the 2021 Tiger 850 Sport at a sticker price of Rs 11.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) in the country. It is the fourth motorcycle to be introduced into the iconic British brand's premium adventure range in India. Triumph Tiger 850 Sport bookings are now open at Rs 50,000 across company authorized dealerships while deliveries will begin from March 2021. Boasting of a T-plane triple crank, it made its global debut in November last year and within 3 to 4 months of its international premiere, the bike is heading to Indian shores.

Triumph Tiger 850 Sport is available in two paint options: Graphite & Diablo Red and Graphite & Caspian Blue. Based on modular frame with bolt on aluminium rear sub-frame and bolt on pillion hangers, it comes with a plethora of advanced features such as Brembo Stylema brakes, high quality Marzocchi suspension, adjustable screen, and comprehensive electronics package, with 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, all LED lighting, 2 riding modes, ABS, 12V power socket and switchable traction control. The bike also gets adjustable handlebars and upright riding position with an adjustable two-position seat height mechanism which will enable the rider to change the seat height by 20mm. The Tiger 850 Sport has a big fuel tank of 20 litres.

Mechanically, the Tiger 850 Sport is powered by a 888cc liquid-cooled inline 3-cylinder engine which develops a top power of 84bhp @8500rpm and peak torque of 82Nm @6500rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox alongside a slip and assist clutch as standard. Triumph is offering over 60 genuine accessories with the new Tiger 850 Sport. Additionally, there are two luggage range options available, both created in partnership with Givi, with the Trekker side-opening panniers with 52 litre twin helmet top box, and the Expedition top-opening aluminium panniers, with matching 42 litre top box. The entire accessory range comes with Triumph’s 2-year unlimited mileage warranty.
