The new Land Rover Defender 130 gets a host of exterior and interior design enhancements

Land Rover has finally taken the wraps off the production-spec Defender 130. It will be positioned above Defender 110 and Defender 90 in the global market. The latter two are already on sale in the Indian market. The SUV is offered in a total of five trims namely SE, HSE, X-Dynamic, X, and Limited-Run First Edition. Talking about the Limited-Run First Edtion, it is offered in a total of 3 carefully curated bespoke color combinations. The SUV further comes in an exclusive Sedona Red color option. 


The silhouette of Land Rover Defender 130 has been extended 340mm towards the rear. The SUV gets a panoramic sunroof as standard along with a second sunroof above the third row. Moving on, the SUV gets Ceres Silver detailing on the bonnet louvres and side fenders. Other design bits include LED rear lights, 20-inch alloy wheels in the Bright Silver finish, and Narvik Black roof rails. The Defender 130 also comes with a full range of exterior accessories including the Explorer, Adventure, Country, and Urban packs. 


The Defender 130 is offered in an 8-seat configuration. Having said that, the three rows in the car have been arranged in a stadium format wherein the midland rear seats are slightly elevated The rear seats can be accessed easily by sliding and folding the middle row. Also, the passengers at the back can access a host of features. These include heated seats, USB-C ports, padded armrests, and storage cubbies. The feature highlights include an 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen, a cabin air purification system, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and quad-zone climate control, to name a few. Each row inside the SUV comes with a ventilation system. The feature highlight of Defender 130 is Approach Unlock and Automated Walkaway Lock. This particular feature unlocks the vehicle when the key fob is detected within 1.5 metres of the SUV.
