The 2020 BS 6 Hyundai Creta is advanced, up-market and premium than its predecessor, while launch will happen in March 2020.

Hyundai India has unveiled the new-generation BS 6 compliant Creta SUV at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new SUV was unveiled by none other than Bollywood Superstar & Hyundai brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan. The 2020 Hyundai Creta comes with new styling and features while powered by the BS 6 compliant engines. It will take on the likes of Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Kia Seltos and Nissan Kicks in the Indian market.

The new-gen model of the SUV flaunts an unique radiator grille with chequered strips in order to distinguish it from the ix25 global model which features a blackened out start-like radiator grille. The cabin takes a radical departure from the ongoing model in terms of upholstery, equipments and comfort features. The steering wheel is more compact and the horizontal AC vents are sleeker than the preceding model. Other salient features include an all-digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control with air purifier, panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system with BlueLink, wireless charging and cruise control.

Mechanically, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is available with a total of three BS 6 compliant engine options: a naturally aspirated 1.5L petrol, a 1.5L turbocharged diesel and a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine, which is debuting in the Indian market with the SUV. The 1.5L petrol engine can be availed with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox while the 113bhp 1.5L diesel motor is paired with a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed auto transmission. The 118bhp 1.0L petrol engine will be exclusively offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
