Hyundai India will be launching the new-gen i20 on 5th November 2020 in the Indian market. The company has commenced the bookings of the upcoming premium hatchback from today onwards. Interested buyers can book the new-gen 2020 Hyundai i20 on the 'Hyundai Click to buy platform' or by directly going to Hyundai dealerships across the country at a token amount of Rs 21,000. The buyers who book the new hatch through ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank credit and debit card via Hyundai's digital sales channel will get 10 percent cash back.
The all-new i20 will be offered in four variants namely Magna, Sportz, Asta, and Asta (O). It will be offered in six monotone color options and two dual-tone shades. The monotone paint schemes include Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Starry Night, and Metallic Cooper while the dual-tone color options are Polar White with Black Roof and Fiery Red with Black Roof.

Cosmetically, the new-gen Hyundai i20 is inspired by the Hyundai Global Design Philosophy - ‘Sensuous Sportiness’. Upfront, it gets projector headlights with LED DRLs. Other design highlights include LED turn indicators, ORVMs, Z-shaped LED tail-lamps, and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Talking about the cabin of the new-gen i20, it will boast of a dual-tone theme, combining black with coffee brown accents for certain trim elements, leather upholstery, and contrast stitching. Feature highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, a BOSE sound system, electric sunroof, 4-spoke steering wheel, an air purifier, and wireless charger among others.
Under the bonnet, the upcoming i20 will get a choice of three engine options - a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol unit, a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol mill, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The transmission options include first-in-segment Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT), Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and Manual gearboxes.
