Ford India has launched the 2021 Ecosport subcompact SUV today at a starting price of Rs 7.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The price goes as high as Rs 11.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for the range-topping variant. It is now available across all the Ford dealerships in the country. The 2021 Ford Ecosport is offered in a total of 5 variants namely Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+, and Sports. Besides this, the company has introduced a sunroof on the Titanium trim. With this, the feature is now available across half of the SUVs variants.
In terms of design, the 2021 EcoSport gets a bold and aggressive look. Design bits include automatic HID headlamps, DRLs, electrochromic mirrors, rain-sensing wipers among many others. The cabin of the 2021 Ford EcoSport boasts of best-in-segment features. These include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with embedded navigation. The top-end trim of the EcoSport features an 8-inch touchscreen SYNC 3 infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Furthermore, it is the only subcompact SUV to offer the connectivity solution FordPassTM across its entire lineup. Talking about the FordPass feature, it is a one-stop smartphone app meeting diverse ownership needs, at no additional cost. Through this app, the EcoSport owners can easily perform several vehicle operations like starting, stopping, locking, or unlocking the vehicle remotely.

With the new line-up, we have not just addressed the customer feedback on making sunroof and key features more accessible but also left scope to add more unique features in the future,” as commented by Vinay Raina, executive director Marketing, Sales & Service at Ford India.
Under the hood, the 2021 Ford Ecosport is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. A 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine is at the helm that churns out a maximum power of 99 bhp and a peak torque of 215 Nm. There is also a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol unit that dishes out 120 bhp power and 149 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox for both the engines as standard. Furthermore, the petrol-powered variant of the EcoSport can also be availed with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
