New details about MV Agusta.

MV Holding recently reacquired 25 percent of MV Agusta Motor shares, which were held by Mercedes-AMG. Now that the company owns majority stake again, MV has focused in its efforts on the development of an all-new four-cylinder platform. This platform will underpin the company’s first new model, which will debut at EICMA 2018.

The new model is expected to be a 1,000cc Brutale. Following its launch, the company will introduce a ‘neo-classical’ café racer in 2020. The replacement for the F4 may only debut in 2021, and it may be powered by a wild hybrid powertrain. The new four-cylinder platform is built using learnings from racing in WSBK.

Currently, the F4 doesn’t meet Euro 4 regulations and will be discontinued, soon. The last version of the bike will be called the F4 ‘Claudio’ edition and it will be sold in limited numbers. This bike is named after Giovanni’s late father Claudio Castiglioni.
