There is only a single top-spec variant, with a 167hp, 2.4-litre petrol engine.

The new Outlander is priced at Rs 31.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and you can only buy it in one single fully-loaded variant. This is the company’s first all-new model launch in six years for India. The new Outlander is powered by a 2.4-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 167hp and 222Nm.

The engine is mated to a six-step CVT automatic that sends power to all-four wheels. The brand is also considering the plug-in hybrid, Outlander PHEV, for an India launch. The seven-seat configuration on this car allows the second and third rows to be folded flat to liberate more luggage space.

You get features like auto headlights and wipers, an electric sunroof, keyless go, an electric parking brake, paddleshifters for the CVT automatic, leather seats, dual-zone climate control, a 6.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 710-watt Rockford Fosgate sound system. As far as safety kit is considered, the Outlander also gets six airbags, hill-start assist and active stability control.
