It is a tribute to the legendary Irish driver Patrick “Paddy” Hopkirk

MINI Paddy Hopkirk Edition has been launched in India at a price of Rs 41.70 Lakhs (ex-showroom). One can book the limited edition model on the official website of the manufacturer but hurriedly considering only 15 units are available. The Paddy Hopkirk Edition is a tribute to the legendary Irish driver Patrick “Paddy” Hopkirk who had his first victory in 1964 Monte Carlo Rally. Paddy won the rally in the iconic No 37 Red Mini Cooper S. The limited-edition model is available in Chilli Red exterior colour scheme. The exclusive edition model stands out due to the  No. 37 Sticker in white on both sides and No. 37 badging on Side Scuttles & Keycap. 




It is a modern take on the classic Red Mini Cooper S driven by Paddy Hopkirk at the rally. The exterior elements like Bonnet Scoop, Door Handles, Fuel Filler Cap and Waistline Finisher come in the piano black scheme. Plus, the car sports MINI emblem at the front and rear sides. A single bonnet stripe in white with Paddy Hopkirk’s signature and 33EJB badging of the number plate lends an exclusive touch to the model. Paddy Hopkirk signature is present on the illuminated door sills, the C-pillars and on the cockpit facia along with a rear sticker coming in matt black colour scheme.

We are delighted to start the New Year with the launch of the MINI Paddy Hopkirk Edition, an icon of international motorsports history."

Moving onto features, the special-edition MINI boasts of a panoramic glass roof, comfort access system, a rearview camera, and leather steering wheel. Another feature to talk about is MINI Excitement Package which comprises of LED interior and ambient lighting. Plus, there is a projection of the MINI logo on the ground whenever the driver’s side door is opened. Safety equipment on-board the Hopkirk edition are two front airbags, ABS, 3-point seat belts, dynamic stability control and crash sensor among many others. 

The Paddy Hopkirk Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine with TwinPower Turbo Technology. The premium hatchback belts out power output of 192 bhp and a peak torque of 280 Nm. The car goes from 0-100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds while the top speed is limited to 235 kmph. The 7-speed Steptronic Sport automatic unit with double clutch takes care of transmission duties.
