MINI Oxford Edition 1

MINI has been a favourite car globally because of its compact size and powerful engine. British manufacturer, MINI has brought the limited numbered model of the Oxford Edition to India. The MINI Oxford Edition will be available only in a 3-door Cooper S variant. Only 25 units of this model and will be available to us via the CBU route. As it will be a CBU, it will attract a hefty amount of import duty and taxes. The car is priced at Rs. 44.9 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Solaris Orange and Midnight Black are the only colours in which the special edition will be available. The roof, mirror covers and rear spoiler are of a contrasting shade to the body colour. The car also comes with a piano black exterior styling elements with a JCW spoiler and aero kit. The piano black exterior very well accentuates with the panoramic glass roof of the car. This car sits on sporty 17-inch Track Spoke black wheels which are wrapped around with run flat tyres. There are 3D-printed ‘OXFORD’ badges on either side of the car. This limited numbered edition gets LED door projector lamps which proudly boast “1/25”. The car gets LED lights as standard and the Union Jack design on the taillights pays tribute to the British engineering and craftsmanship.

The interior of the car is very premium. The seats are wrapped with brown or black upholstered leather. The car gets illuminated surface black dashboard, heads-up display and 8.8-inch infotainment system as a standard fitment. The infotainment system comes equipped with Apple CarPlay connectivity and a Harman Kardon audio system with 12 speakers.

The pocket rocket is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces an output of 192 BHP and 280 Nm of twisting force. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed double clutch steptronic transmission. This little beast can propel to 100 km/hr from standstill in just 6.7 seconds.
