MG Motor is all set to export India’s first internet SUV - MG Hector to Nepal

MG Motor is planning to expand its footprint in other South Asian countries. The British automaker commenced the export from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat. Having said that, the company will take its first step towards its expansion plan by exporting India’s first internet SUV - MG Hector to Nepal. 

Moving on, MG Motor began its commercial production in India on May 6, 2019. It further launched its first car MG Hector in June 2019 in the country. Following this, a whopping 72,500 units of the Hector have been sold in India to date. 


“MG Motor India is constantly progressing its operations, expanding the market reach, stakeholder base, and adding new customers and partners to the MG family. Taking this spirit forward, MG is geared up to expand its footprint across the other South Asian countries starting with Nepal. Hector has played a vital role in establishing our prowess in an Auto industry as dynamic and aggressive as the Indian Auto space, and we are looking forward to driving interest in Nepal with the launch of MG Hector,” as commented by Rajeev Chaba, President, and Managing Director, MG Motor India.

Moving on, MG will be selling Hector in Nepal through Paramount Motors Pvt Ltd - which is the carmaker’s dealer partner in Nepal. In collaboration with the Zonta Club of Kathmandu, Passion Drives will be organized that will support initiatives to help raise awareness on the importance of speaking up against domestic violence, child marriage, and work/public place harassments. Besides that, the dealer partner will work in the areas of community development and other social responsibilities under the MG SEWA initiative.
