MG Hector Plus price is expected to start from Rs 14 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).

MG Hector Plus is inching closer to its much-awaited launch in India. However, ahead of the official launch in mid-July, it has been listed on MG Motors India's website. Recently, the company had stated that MG Hector Plus has entered series production at its Halol manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The Hector Plus was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo in February while it will be offered in a 6-seater configuration to take on the likes of Maruti XL6, Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra Marazzo in the Indian market.

Using the same architecture as MG Hector, the MPV will come with captain seats in the middle row. The dealer dispatch of the Hector Plus has already begun and demo vehicles can be seen at dealerships. Visually, it looks a bit different than the standard Hector SUV due to the redesigned headlamps. In addition, the front grille and bumper too come with a slight revision. The company has also made changes at the rear end. The reflector strip seen with the Hector SUV which stretches across the tailgate is missing from the Hector Plus. The cabin is expected to feature all the premium bells and whistles that we have seen with the Hector including the massive touchscreen infotainment system with connected tech.

Mechanically, MG Hector Plus is expected to borrow the engine options from the standard Hector SUV. It will feature all the three engines which are a 2.0L diesel engine, a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5L petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. The diesel mill will churn out 168bhp of top power and 350Nm of peak torque while linked to a 6-speed manual transmission. The petrol variants will be available with a 6-speed DCT auto gearbox too, besides the manual unit. MG Hector Plus price is expected to start from Rs 14 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) as it is believed to be nearly Rs 1 Lakh more expensive than the Hector which comes in a price range of Rs 12.74-17.73 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom).
