MG Hector Plus 6-Seater SUV to be launched tomorrow in India.

The wait is over, finally MG Motor India will be launching their 3rd product, a 6-Seater SUV for the Indian market. Having tasted success with MG Hector and eZS electric SUV, the British brand is all set to introduce the Hector Plus SUV tomorrow. Expected to be priced Rs 1 Lakh more than the Hector, the MG Hector Plus will offer an extra third row of seats. 

To be offered in 3 variants, namely Super, Smart and Sharp, bookings for MG Hector Plus have already begun. Interested customers can book their desired SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000 at any MG authorized dealership.  

Pitched as a more spacious version and 6-seater option to the original Hector SUV, the MG Hector Plus is a lot bit different on the outside. It for instance gets a pair of split headlamps, new grille and revised bumper in the front while the rear end gets new tail lights along with a refreshed bumper. As for the interior, it will get a dual tone cabin. Feature wise, there will be a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, climate control, brown leather upholstery, captain seats in the second row while the third row will provide seating for 3 persons. The feature list would comprise of a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and multi-function steering wheel along with a 360 degree camera.   

Like the Hector, the MG Hector Plus will come in both petrol and diesel models. The former would be a 1.5 litre turbo petrol unit capable of producing a maximum power output of 143 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque. This particular engine will only come equipped with 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. There might not be a manual gearbox on board. MG is expected to offer a petrol hybrid powertrain as well only in the Hector Plus Sharp variant. While the later will be a 2.0 litre diesel engine producing an output of 170 bhp with 350 Nm torque. The transmission here will be a 6-speed manual gearbox.
