MG Motor had recently launched the six-seater Hector Plus in India.

MG Motor India launched the new six-seater Hector Plus a couple of days back. The company had commenced the bookings of the SUV few days back. Now, it has started delivering the SUV to the first batch of owners across the country. MG Hector Plus has been introduced in the price range of Rs 13.49 lakh - Rs 18.54 lakh (Ex-Showroom). This pricing is likely to be valid until August 13, 2020. After that, there might be a price hike of Rs 50,000 on the overall pricing depending upon the variants. The Hector Plus is available in four variants namely Style, Super, Smart, and Sharp. 

In terms of features, the front fascia of the new Hector Plus flaunts new LED headlamps with DRLs. The revised front grille and bumper differentiates the new SUV from the regular Hector. The rear end gets a tail-lamp cluster and a modified bumper. The cabin of the Hector Plus boasts of brown leather upholstery. Furthermore, it comes with a three-row seat configuration with captain seats in the middle row. The main highlight is the ‘Chit-Chat’ voice command feature that comes along with a 10.4-inch iSmart touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 


Other premium features include front-parking sensors, powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free opening function for the tailgate. Talking about the safety features, then the SUV comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a 360-degree camera.

 

The SUV is offered with four engine options. The petrol variants are powered by a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that delivers 141 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. The engine is further linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox along with 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox as an option. There is also a 1.5-litre petrol engine that can be availed with a 48V mild-hybrid system with similar power output and a 6-speed manual gearbox. While the diesel variants draw power from the 2.0-litre engine that churns out 170 bhp and 350 Nm, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
