The upcoming MG Gloster will be offered in a seven-seater layout.

MG Motor India will launch the Gloster SUV during the festive season this year. A few days back, images of MG’s upcoming flagship SUV were leaked online in a fully undisguised avatar in the production-ready form. Recently, a new set of spy shots surfaced on the web, thus giving us a fair idea of how the interior cabin of the SUV will look like.

As per the spy images, the upcoming seven-seater SUV will get a cabin similar to Maxus D90 which boasts of black with tan leather upholstery. The tan leather upholstery gets a diamond quilted pattern. Furthermore, the upper half of the dashboard gets a tan leather finish with brushed aluminium trim. There is a floating 12.3-inch touchscreen that has been placed above the central AC vents along with manual controls for the climate control system. From the images, we can also make out a yacht-style gear selector for an automatic transmission, a full-digital instrument screen, and a drive mode selector. Other features will include a panoramic sunroof, an electronic parking brake, and paddle shifters. The middle row will come with captain seats as standard. There will also be rear AC vents with dedicated controls for the rear passengers. Besides these, there will be a third-row bench seat as seen in the images which confirms that the SUV will be offered in a seven-seat form.

The upcoming MG Gloster was spied doing test runs on roads a few days back. The spy images confirmed that the SUV will come equipped with four-wheel drive and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). Other safety features will include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, frontal collision warning and hands-free auto-parking.

Under the frame, the India-spec MG Gloster will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol unit that will produce 224 bhp power and 360 Nm torque. There will also be a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine churning out 218 bhp power and 480 Nm torque mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. In abroad, the D90 draws its power from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 224 bhp power while being equipped with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Taking the four-wheel-drive and advanced driver assistance system into consideration, the upcoming SUV will be priced in the range of Rs 40 lakhs - Rs 45 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
