Mercedes-Benz strengthens its CLA lineup by launching CLA 200 Urban Sport and CLA 200 d Urban Sport. The CLA is the entry-level sedan in the Mercedes lineup. Luxury and comfort which was already offered in CLA are now enhanced along with some sporty appeal in the new CLA Urban Sport.
The Mercedes CLA Urban Sport comes equipped with dual zone climate control termed as Thermotronic climate control, which allows the driver and front passenger to adjust the temperature, flow and air distribution individually. For the rear passengers, there is a rear centre air vent for better comfort. On the exterior, there is an all-new paint job called Cosmos Black along with a carbon style rear spoiler. The CLA Urban Sport also gets Sport floor mats, Sport illuminated door sills and Sport badge.
However, the engines under the hood remain the same 2.0-litre petrol engine and 2.2-litre diesel engine. The petrol unit produces 184 HP and 300 Nm of torque, whereas the diesel engine gives an output of 136 HP and 300 Nm of peak torque. The CLA 200 Urban Sport (Petrol) is priced at Rs. 35.99 lakhs and the CLA 200 d Urban Sport (Diesel) is available at Rs. 36.99 lakhs. (all prices, ex-showroom).
