Mercedes-Benz has launched the C 200 Progressive petrol variant of the C-Class facelift in India that has been priced at Rs. 43.46 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is the same variant as the C 200 d Progressive which is offered in its diesel guise. At the time of the launch, this variant was available only with the diesel version and now it is more affordable with the petrol version.
The features offered in the C 200 petrol Progressive variant are identical to its diesel counterpart. Some of the features include LED headlights, sunroof, 10.25-inch COMAND infotainment system that gets Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity. It also gets Active-Park Assist. All in all, this variant is well loaded with features that you would expect from a luxury German car.
Powering the Mercedes-Benz C 200 Progressive is a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces a maximum power output of 180 BHP with a peak torque of 280 Nm. This engine is mated to a 9-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. The Mercedes C 200 competes with the likes of BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Jaguar XE.
