Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will be the first Made-in-India AMG model to be launched in the country

Mercedes Benz India will be launching the AMG GLC 43 Coupe on the 3rd of November. The launch will take place virtually on the brand’s social media handles. The coupe SUV will be the first 'Made-in-India' AMG model to be launched in the country. It will be rolled out off the assembly line at the company’s Chakan plant near Pune. Since it is a CKD version, we can expect it to be priced at around Rs 80 lakhs (ex-showroom).


 


In terms of design, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will feature the signature AMG Panamericana grille with vertical slats. In addition, it will also get LED high-performance headlamps with DRLs. On the sides, the coupe SUV come with 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels featuring AMG lettering on it as standard. The brand is also likely to offer 5 alloy wheel options ranging from 19 - 21 inches in size with the SUV. Its rear-end will cater to redesigned tail-lights, two-round twin tailpipes, a broad apron, and a diffuser. 



Inside the cabin, the AMG 4Matic Coupe will bear a sporty look. It will boast of seats in all-black Artico man-made leather with Dinamica microfibre. Furthermore, it will also provide the latest version of the MBUX infotainment system with AMG-specific functions and displays. Other feature highlights will include a voice-control function that will be activated by the words ‘Hey Mercedes’. The SUV will also cater to 5 different Drive Modes namely Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual. 



Under the bonnet, the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 Coupe will feature a 3.0-litre V6 Bi-turbo engine that will generate a maximum power of 385 bhp and a peak torque of 520 Nm. In comparison to the outgoing model, the upcoming SUV is expected to generate 23 bhp more power. As for the transmission option, it will be offered with the AMG Speedshift TCT 9G unit.
