Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe and GT R Coupe Launched in India

Both the AMG cars were digitally launched at the company’s Centre of Excellence in Chakan, Pune.

Mercedes Benz India has launched two high-performance AMG models in the country. The Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe has been priced at Rs 1.33 Crores while the Mercedes-AMG GT R gets a price tag of Rs 2.48 Crores (Both prices are Ex. Showroom India, except Kerala). Both the AMG cars were digitally launched at the company’s Centre of Excellence in Chakan, Pune. The company already has 100+ online bookings confirmed for both the C63 Coupe and GT R coupe. It also said that the performance car segment grew by 54 percent in 2019 in India.

Speaking of Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe, it is powered by a 4.0L bi-turbo B8 engine which develops a top power of 476bhp and peak torque of 650Nm. The engine is linked to a AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-Speed Sports automatic gearbox while it does a 0-100kmph sprint in just 4 seconds with a top speed of 250kmph. On the other hand, Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe also draws power and torque from the same 4.0L bi-turbo V8 engine in tunes of 585bhp and 700Nm, respectively. dual-clutch automatic transmission as standard. The high-performance coupe touches the 100kmph mark from standstill in a mere 3.6 seconds while clocking a top speed of 318kmph. Both the AMG Coupés are customizable with Mercedes Benz’s renowned ‘designo’ platform.

Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe flaunts an AMG specific radiator front grille with the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension as standard. It exclusively rides on light weight AMG performance 5-twin spoke forged wheels while boasting of a 12.3-inch display with the display styles "Classic", "Progressive" and "Sporty". The AMG Rear Axle Locking Differential also makes it to the equipment list. Coming to Mercedes-AMG GT R Coupe, it rides on 5 twin spoke 19-inch AMG forged alloy wheels at front and 20-inch at the rear. Most of the exterior elements are Carbon-fiber finished with AMG Ceramic high-performance composite brake system and AMG Performance steering wheel in black DINAMICA microfiber with top-stitching as standard features as well.
