The company is currently working on a facelifted version of the Celerio hatchback. The company is also readying a rugged variant of the Celerio. It will feature additional body cladding that runs all across its lower-body and it will help Maruti compete in the budding cross-hathback segment in India. It will rival cars like the KUV100 (also due to get a facelift soon), the Renault Kwid and the upcoming Ford Figo Cross. The Cross version may come with slightly larger alloy wheels and roof rails as well.
On the inside, there’s a Smartplay infotainment system and a few minor tweaks, and it will continue to be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol motor. The company will reveal the car in the coming months.
