Speaking of BS 6 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R S-CNG, it comes with a tank capacity of 60 litres (water equivalent) while delivering a mileage of 32.52km/kg. The hatch, identical to every S-CNG model, is equipped with dual interdependent ECUs (Electronic Control Units) and intelligent injection system. The factory-fitted CNG kit is specially tuned. Maruti has launched the CNG variant in two grades: Lxi and Lxi (O) with prices Rs 5.25 Lakhs and 5.32 Lakhs, respectively (Both are Ex. showroom, Delhi). And with the Mission Green Million, the country's biggest automaker intends to sell the next 1 million green vehicles in the next couple of years. In addition, the introduction of S-CNG range of vehicles is in line with Indian Government's vision of reducing oil import and enhancing the share of natural gas in the energy basket of the country from 6.2 percent now to 15 percent by 2030. The Union Government is also working aggressively on the expansion of CNG fuel pumps network in the country.
