Maruti Suzuki recalls a total of 1,34,885 units of Wagon R and Baleno.

The market leader, Maruti Suzuki today announced the voluntary recall of Wagon R 1.0L and Baleno petrol for a faulty fuel pump. A total of 1,34,885 units are being recalled by the company out of which 56,663 units belong to the Wagon R and 78,222 units of Baleno. This recall would consist of those models that were manufactured between November 15th 2018 to October 15th 2019 for Maruti Wagon R (1 Litre) and January 8th 2019 to November 4th 2019 in the case of Maruti Baleno

According to the automaker, the faulty part in the fuel pump would be changed free of cost. Further, the customers who are affected by this recall would be contacted directly by a Maruti authorised dealer in due course of time.

In case your vehicle falls under this initiative, then the customers can also visit the following links - www.marutisuzuki.com for Wagon R and www.nexaexperience.com for the Baleno on Maruti Suzuki's official websites. Once there, the person can fill in his or her chassis number (MA3 or MBH, followed by the 14 digit alpha-numeric number) to enquire if their car requires checking. If so then follow the instructions on the website to get the vehicle registered under this recall.

For those who are wondering where to find the chassis number then look at the vehicle ID plate where one can find it embossed. Or else you can also look for it in your vehicle documents as it is given there on the invoice and on the Registration paper.
